... and that's because I do all I can to help you feel at ease and comfortable so that you enjoy the experience and together we can capture the essence you want to convey in your likeness, how you want to be seen, who you want to be. Help you feel good about yourself and what you do, and to let that shine through in your portrait.

In producing portraits, we need to chat so that I can understand who the portraits are intended to be seen by. Doing so will enable us to agree on the range of persona you need to portray in the portraits. I will also be able to recommend some appropriate environments within which to take the portraits so that they communicate who you are all the more.

Alternatively, we might take them against a plain backdrop instead. Or even do an expert cut-out and superimpose your image on a separate background image. As an expert digital retoucher many things are possible.

I value my reputation so I certainly won't set out to be the cheapest, though definitely good value for money none the less. Most of my commissions come from referrals by satisfied clients and I want you to be one of them, and for you to pay me with a big smile!

Typical Portrait Photography

It is a high quality, friendly and unhurried service. This includes an on-site pre-meeting, where we get to know each other and what you want, and plan the shoot; the photoshoot in a relaxed session; a post photoshoot review meeting where we present the proofs and discuss options for receiving your pictures, and delivery of the pictures to you. It also covers individual enhancement and retouching of up to 3 of your selected images, and hand-printing of your pictures ready for framing or other uses.

We prefer to make a realistic and sustainable up-front charge for time rather than an artificially low 'session fee' and then high print costs.

Pricing assumes 3 10"x8" prints and up to 10 images on disk - additional prints cost £10 (small) / £15 (large) and prints outside these sizes are by negotiation.

Typical cost with pre-meeting and a morning, afternoon or evening session at your place within the London area, or in my studio in Stratford, East London - £450

I may use assistants on these photoshoots at extra cost if necessary. Stylists / Make-up / Hair / Set dresser / Props etc., are available and are charged additionally as required.
